Therapy & Counseling for Polyamory, Ethical Non-Monogamy and Open Relationships in San Diego
POLYAMOROUS COUPLES THERAPY
Navigate open or polyamorous relationships with therapy for non-monogamous couples in San Diego.
Exploring consensual non-monogamy can be exciting, expansive and deeply meaningful but it also comes with challenges that many couples feel unprepared for. Jealousy, communication breakdowns, the lack of emotional boundaries and mismatched expectations can all create confusion and strain on the relationship.
Therapy can provide a grounded, non-judgmental space to help you and your partner(s) navigate the complexities of polyamory and open relationships. Whether you're considering opening up your current monogamous relationship, just starting off on the journey or seeking support around existing challenges, we’ll work together to create relationship structures that feel healthy and sustainable for everyone involved.

MY APPROACH
Emotionally-focussed therapy (EFT) for polyamory and ethical non-monogamy
When working with couples, I use a modality called Emotionally Focused Therapy (or EFT for short). Regardless of your specific issues, EFT is designed to help you identify the emotional patterns at the root of your struggles and shift your dynamic away from anger, distance & blame towards understanding, connection and trust.
As your therapist, my goal is to help you learn how to notice reactive patterns when they happen and equip you with the right tools so you can communicate effectively and create an environment of emotional safety
EFT is a very non-judgmental and compassionate approach. The goal is not to blame one another or identify one partner as the source of all problems but rather about helping both of you to step out of old cycles so you can build a stronger, healthier connection with each other.
